Is your child preparing for the 11+ English exam this autumn? Give them the confidence, structure and clarity they need through this in-depth revision bootcamp.

Led by expert tutor Sheena Chan, who has over a decade of experience preparing children for Sutton schools (like Wilson’s and Sutton Grammar), QE Boys, and top London independents, this course is designed to sharpen exam skills and mindset through small-group teaching and focused practice.

What’s Covered:

Throughout the bootcamp, students will revise and build key 11+ English skills, including:

• Comprehension Mastery – Fiction and Non-fiction texts with focus on inference, deduction, author intent, viewpoint, figurative language, tone, mood, and effective summarising

• Advanced Vocabulary & SPaG – Synonyms, antonyms, homophones, prefixes, suffixes, root words, punctuation, and sentence-level grammar

• Sentence Construction & Writing Style – Building complex sentences, using figurative language, passive voice, tone and technique

• Comparative Reading Skills – Comparing tone and writing style across texts

• Creative & Persuasive Writing – Crafting descriptive and impactful written responses

• Optional Focus Areas – A final flexible session covering spelling, rule recap, or extra writing practice based on group needs

Students will engage with exam-style tasks, discussions and feedback throughout.

On Day 7, students will complete a mock test under timed conditions, followed by a strategy and mindset session with Sabah Hadi, guiding both students and parents on managing exam stress, pacing and performance.
